About Us

Mid-State Energy, Inc. was established in Lake Wales, Florida  in 1957. The company began as a small fuel supplier to local grove owners and small commercial end users. Over the years the company has grown into a well respected leader in the petroleum industry serving customers throughout Florida. Various divisions within the company specialize in specific petroleum related industries offering FULL SERVICE SOLUTIONS as well as various commercial rentals.

Under the Mid-State Energy, Inc. name we own various retail petroleum locations and service individual owner/operators throughout Florida and currently market those fuels under the CITGO , Sunoco, and Marathon brands.

For the industrial and commercial customers we market specialty lubricants and other petroleum related installations and services under the HIGHLANDS OIL CO. name.

For those residential and commercial customers that utilize propane or have a need for propane related equipment or services we handle those under AMERIGAS.

 Our newest addition to the company is the recent completion of a commercial and industrial complex consisting of various size office/warehouse buildings as well as a self storage complex operating as SCENIC SELF STORAGE & BUSINESS CENTER. These business center buildings are designed for those companies that need a combined office and warehouse space. The self storage complex has 300 individual climate and non-climate controlled units covering over 40,000 sq. ft. These units are protected by a state of the art video and security monitoring system.
